Road to Ruin

I don’t typically delve deep into sci-fi/fantasy, but thought I’d give this one a try.
Traversing a wasteland full of savage beasts and anarchy, trying to survive among dwindling civilizations with crazy superpowers. A wild ride indeed.

I’d rather be surrounded by a small pond of people I like to interact with instead of a sea of fluff and inauthenticity.
Speaking moreso about the social aspect rather than art, but I think the point stills stands.

All I could think of was a fire-type Yanma, so here it is.

How do you fight that? How do you grow beyond what you've been told is the truth for so long? What does it even look like to fix a world this diverged?

Minor Spoiler Alert
It's absolutely genius, having this story run in real-time over the years since it began, with the finale arc starting soon.

What sets this overarching alternate reality narrative apart from others is it's not one simple "what if?" It's a whole lot of them, orchestrated by a being who's armed with unfathomable knowledge of how things are "supposed to be." You get impossible scenarios where familiarity can betray you.

I watched Tron Ares today. I didn’t hate it, but it was far from perfect. Sad part is, I was on board with the premise, but there was a lot left to be desired with the story’s execution.
Great vfx and score as expected. Decent characters for a story that’s fairly separate from other installments.

If I had a nickel for every time I let someone walk away (metaphorically and literally) without saying something important I knew wanted to say…let’s just say I’d have a lot.

Social anxiety really sucks.
