As nice as bluesky has been for posting art, recently it's been hard to resist switching back to tumblr. I hate how every art piece dies after two weeks and the feed system stresses me out. I'll likely keep posting my ffxiv stuff here but I make no guarantees that I won't get tired of this site so -

A short and silly comic about the Warrior of Light discovering a stowaway Fuath (water spirit) hiding in their drenched hair. The Fae falls out of their hair as they're drying off, then it promptly escapes retaliation by turning into a puddle, leaving our heroes bewildered. That's the whole thing.

I don't really have anything to say about this one except that I named the file "Fuath and Furious"

That's such a clever use for the summons I never would have thought of it, though I did end up initiating the fight so I could see what the unmasked faces looked like. Was hard to keep it still :P

I ended up getting 2 of my friends to help me make an unrestricted party and get into the raid to stare at Cerberus' design for an hour lol.
And there are so many little details I never noticed before, apparently this dog has scales!

Nobody liked my wall of stupid fish puns I see. Too bad because I'm piranha roll

The first 4 panels of the comic are illustrated in stylized, simplified shapes reminiscent of stained glass. "I've always dreamed... Of carving out a space for myself in the annals of history." "Of standing shoulder to shoulder with the realm's greatest heroes." "And seeing grand sights while living grander adventures." "But..." The stained glass effect fades away and is replaced by my more typical art style, the setting switches to the world of darkness. Someone who, presumably, knows what to do shouts "Come on, we'll fight it from inside its stomach!" Following panels show the chaos and shouting as people fight Cerberus. (Back to the thought text: "...I think I'll sit this one out.") End

So about that jaunt through the World of Darkness that one time..

I was this 🤏 close to deleting the whole thing and starting over. Might still redo it in a way that I'll be more satisfied with, but for now this version turned out fine too

"For those who will look to you in what is to come." Panel 5: view from the ground, focused on the light coming from the room. The warrior responds with a simple "...Right." Page end.

Some #wolgraha for you discerning folks? I wanted to do some lighting-centric art and what better than this cutscene that lives rent free in mind?

It was SUCH a big moment for us!! The way that the scions talked about going to the moon as something so casual really threw us for a loop the first time lol

My smooth line art got eaten by bluesky (⁠╯⁠ರ⁠ ⁠~⁠ ⁠ರ⁠)⁠╯⁠︵⁠ ⁠┻⁠━⁠┻

Early Stormblood, a trio consisting of the adventurers Jill, Kira, and Poppy group around a tomestone. Kira: "Hey, check out this fancy trailer for the new expansion." (Circa 2021) They all watch with wonder. When Jill says "Are we going to the moon?" The journey commences! Kira points at an airship but the lalafell Poppy doesn't think that'll take them to the moon. "No way." It cuts to them clinging onto Shinryu and Poppy shouts "Take me to the moooon!!" On The First they debate Kira: "I mean, we're technically on a moon. If you think about it." Jill: "No! I refuse to accept substitutes!" They continue on their journey past a "NO MOON. TURN AROUND" sign and reach the fight with Lunar Bahamut. Rest on page two!

Finally in Garlemald, far closer to the moon than the heroes realize, Fandaniel flips them off and teleports away. (Lol bye nerds) Thancred: "Go on without us. We'll meet on the moon!" (It'll be fine!) Jill: "...Is it really that easy?" They arrive on the moon. It was, in fact, that easy. In the rest of the panels they finally get to enjoy the fruits of their labors. Seeing the moon sights, meeting the watcher, falling in love with the Lunatenders, and of course fighting Zodiark! (No one said the moon would be easy) The comic ends there, thank you for reading my silly saga!

My friend group saw the Endwalker trailer early in #ffxiv, (oops) so all throughout the storyline we would constantly joke "When are we going to the moon?" (For a more realistic interpretation repeat such moon-related phrases 70+ more times) #ffxivart
