Iowa Rushes, Advances Librarian Criminalization Bill Introduced last week, Iowa's librarian criminalization bill has already made it to the House floor.

“The bill would erase protections that public libraries and educational institutions have related to “obscene” materials. The bill would also [bar] anyone under the age of 18 from utilizing the library or its materials were it believed so-called “obscene” material were available.”

Deborah Rutter was fired this week after a decade as president of the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.

She says the center worked hard to expand its audience by broadening the programming, inviting "all manner of arts and artists to our stages. ... I pray that that can be sustained."

The intro ceramics classes finished their first pieces. It’s amazing to see what they make when they aren’t burdened by limitations. Only rules: must be hollow and must exceed 8”.
