Whilst I don't like Post- EW -> DT's base MSQ (The post DT- MSQ I enjoyed thus far). The inspirations were very explicit and were not like what we had in the past, they're not a clone of those game's stories.

Whilst yes the backdrop of the expansion (in the second half) was FFIX inspired. But I do feel as though XIV has hit that formula that it's even rehashing itself with a final dungeon and/ or zone portraying the base-MSQ's villain's backstory lol.

I'm not disagreeing there. But I felt Dawntrail was much more a FFXI style expansion, where we're a more supporting role and helping a character reach a destination (and somehow we end up having to beat up ancients and/or gods lmao).

I will say FFXI has some of the coolest female rep and shouldn't be slept on at all.

I think it being an FF theme park gives it perks but has massive cons when it comes to theming an expansion around a game.
Like DT was probably the most FFXI styled expansion we had and I dare say Wuk was basically the "Expansion Girl" where they take the lead in most situations in the base MSQ.

But it’s a weird thing to say but I know parents that will put the pressure on their kids to push them into a job I highly doubt that they want to kick you out.

IDK if it’ll sound mean but I think the best way to kind of shut them up is to show them that you’re applying.
I’m also in the same boat-ish as I got a job but everyone around me knows I’ve grown to despise so it’s a matter of time before I go XD.
