I love haunted house stories set in living spaces where the interior decoration is insane.

Really really big fan of how they did the effects for the bridge fight in The Lady Hermit.

If you don't watch any pro wrestling I'd recommend it in general (with varied reservations in specific), but mostly what I'd recommend is not dismissing stuff out of hand, since usually it turns out to be weirder and more interesting than your assumptions. I think this ten years helped me with that.

There's many reasons to criticize it as an industry, both justified and not, but I would honestly put it right up there with the very most rewarding newly discovered interests for me in terms of newfound experiences, friendships, and connections to further interests.

I dropped the ball originally with Shelved by Genre by trying to read all of Book of the New Sun on my own before listening to any of that unit, and I listened to virtually all of Just King Things despite never having actually read any Stephen King.

I've been very very much enjoying recently making a renewed push into listening to @rangedtouch.bsky.social's Shelved by Genre and Just King Things from the beginning diligently reading along.

I've been thinking and working for a long time to try to determine what exactly I want my 2026 to look like and what it will actually look like, and I still really have no idea about either! I guess at this point I'll just have to find out.

I moved across an ocean or continent in 1996, 2006, and 2016, so 2026 brings some intimidating anniversaries for me at the very least.

Feel like I got a genuine quality of life boost recently just by using my phone better via organizing ebook site tabs into tab groups and getting around to actually setting up RSS feeds in a podcast app. Makes it a lot easier to not treat scrolling as the default action with it.

Everything else is objectively far far cooler but I am nevertheless also jealous of the Harta glasses pamphlets lol

I listened to this commentary the other day and was extremely impressed! Not many commentaries come across as thorough and entertaining, and the bit of crucial context foreshadowed and then revealed alone helps make a lot of the movie fall into place in retrospect. Appreciate the work!
