βRecent studies have shown that when satellites reach the end of their lives and burn up upon reentry, they leave behind metals like aluminum and lithium.
The consequences of this are not yet known. But that's [only one thing that] concerns scientistsβ¦β

09.03.2026 04:52 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Ah, that makes sense. Now it sounds even more like an own-goal for US.
09.03.2026 04:51 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0My way to square the circle is give people money. Hundreds of studies at this point show universal basic income improves lives. It bypasses red state legislatures and private sector. It happens immediately, not years after legislation. It lets people get what they need, which may not be broadband
08.03.2026 11:57 β π 46 π 10 π¬ 1 π 0The fact the deal was signed seems to show the factions who wanted nuke weapons were not in control. Breaking the deal seems to have basically pushed Iran toward the pro-nuke weapons factions. A big own-goal for US. Again, I'm not an Iran expert so I'm curious where others think my read is off.
09.03.2026 04:38 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I am not at all a specialist on Iran, but it would be surprising to me if Iranians themselves saw Trump cancelling the deal - one that was good for Iran, and that they were complying with - as a positive development. The faction pushing for nuke weapons, sure. Others, probably not.

09.03.2026 04:01 β π 4 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Thanks, trying to understand how you think Trump cancelling the deal was a gift to Iran?
09.03.2026 03:56 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 1Do you think Iran wanted the deal to fail? Were they not complying with the provisions of the JCPOA?
09.03.2026 03:54 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Or do you think they are willing to kill 10 million people to keep their job?
08.03.2026 23:09 β π 4 π 1 π¬ 1 π 0Do you think any of these three men would quit their job to save 10 million people?

09.03.2026 03:49 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Trump encourages the down-trodden unarmed masses to rise up against an armed dictatorship, and then does this to them. Oh the shame Americans should feel.

Trump and the complicit GOP have been hollowing out the economy at warp speed for the last 14 months... Cut research & innovation, lower consumer confidence, stoke inflation, squeeze corporate margins, destroy trade partner goodwill, increased credit balances, and now this....

Need to go outside the US media to see real analysis.
"Most of the world is appalled by the ignorance of Trump and his people... Now they are playing at war, a game about which they know incomparably less than those whoβve done it for real in Vietnam and elsewhere."
Worth a read.

It's appalling that the White House continues to depict the war as a video game and Hegseth/Miller keep trivializing the situation with "warrior ethic" cosplay when real people are dying.
