ANALYSIS | SpaceX wants to launch a million satellites. Here's how that could impact us here on Earth | CBC News Scientists are deeply concerned about SpaceX's recent proposal to launch one million satellites into orbit around Earth. Their concerns range from a loss of the natural night sky and our access to spa...

β€œRecent studies have shown that when satellites reach the end of their lives and burn up upon reentry, they leave behind metals like aluminum and lithium.

The consequences of this are not yet known. But that's [only one thing that] concerns scientists…”

Ah, that makes sense. Now it sounds even more like an own-goal for US.

My way to square the circle is give people money. Hundreds of studies at this point show universal basic income improves lives. It bypasses red state legislatures and private sector. It happens immediately, not years after legislation. It lets people get what they need, which may not be broadband

The fact the deal was signed seems to show the factions who wanted nuke weapons were not in control. Breaking the deal seems to have basically pushed Iran toward the pro-nuke weapons factions. A big own-goal for US. Again, I'm not an Iran expert so I'm curious where others think my read is off.

I am not at all a specialist on Iran, but it would be surprising to me if Iranians themselves saw Trump cancelling the deal - one that was good for Iran, and that they were complying with - as a positive development. The faction pushing for nuke weapons, sure. Others, probably not.

Senator mocked β€˜green energy crap.’ His house runs on it. Montana Republican Tim Sheehy voted to scrap solar tax credits after installing panels and battery storage at his Bozeman home.

Thanks, trying to understand how you think Trump cancelling the deal was a gift to Iran?

Do you think Iran wanted the deal to fail? Were they not complying with the provisions of the JCPOA?

Or do you think they are willing to kill 10 million people to keep their job?

The shame is very real. Unfortunately, the literal psychopaths in office are incapable of shame.

Trump encourages the down-trodden unarmed masses to rise up against an armed dictatorship, and then does this to them. Oh the shame Americans should feel.

Another American service member has died in Trump's war, the Pentagon announced, bringing the total to seven. It's appalling that the White House continues to depict the war as a video game and Hegseth/Miller keep trivializing the situation with "warrior ethic" cosplay when real people are dying.
