Just finished watching The Traitors Ireland 🇮🇪 , hosted by the ever awesome Siobhán McSweeney. Loved it! Intense, gripping, raw, emotional. I think it might be my favourite ever season of Traitors. If you like The Traitors, and you can get it, watch it. If you’re in the UK, it’s on iPlayer.

My mate Gar's latest book. I remember talking about this with him a while back, and it basically sounds awesome.

Had that slightly awkward conversation with my thirteen year old daughter where the subject of drugs comes up, and I had to confess that the closest I ever came to taking drugs was when I had an incredibly strong expresso coffee out of a vending machine in the Italian Stock Exchange in Milan.

Growing up in Michigan, Chase Johnson dreamed of hockey glory. But when his NHL dreams turned to dust, he found himself in the leafy Manchester suburb of Altrincham playing for the British EIHL’s Manchester Storm. There’s not much glory, and certainly no riches, but it is hockey. Jess Lane went to London with a degree in marketing and big dreams only to get her spirit shattered and her heart broken. Now’s she back working in her mum’s Altrincham coffee shop, trying to figure out what the hell to do with her life. Chase went looking for a coffee and found a girl who wasn’t looking for love, didn’t particularly care for Americans, and was utterly indifferent about ice hockey, and anyone who might claim to play it. Can love span a trans-Atlantic divide and heal a broken heart?

One of the problems with having a writer's brain is that you're constantly thinking of ideas for books, often in genres that you're utterly unsuited to write, even if you had the time! This is my latest pointless idea, one which has sufficiently bugged me that I decided to write the blurb. 😀

I know it was on the doorstep because they emailed me a picture of it on my doorstep. I texted my ex-wife and asked her to go round and pick it up but it had already gone by time she was able to get there. 🥲

The lord giveth, and the lord taketh away, as they say. Or in my case, Evri leaveth on my doorstep when I'm out, and some thieving scroat taketh away.

Dear Apple. If I take a picture with my phone held sideways, it's because I want to take a landscape picture, not because I want a portrait picture turned on its side.

I don't actually understand why you're needing people to tell you this, but hope it helps.

To clarify I should say that he said liars, it’s just that my English ears heard it as lawyers. No one accent is more correct than any other.

I generally find Irish accents very clear and easy to understand but I was a bit confused watching Traitors Ireland when someone (I think it was Andrew) said, “We’re here to catch lawyers”…

…until I realised it was actually, “We’re here to catch liars”.

Watching Traitors Ireland 🇮🇪 , and seeing various comments online, really brings it home to me that one man’s legend is another man’s twat.

And yes, I am talking about Paudy.
