Our planning team recently invited others Trailnet staff along for a walk audit, where we observed the streets around a school and took notes: Are sidewalks wide and even? Are crossings visible? Is it safe and comfortable for kids and caregivers to get around? Are there curb cut outs?

Every kid deserves a safe way to walk or bike to school. That’s why Trailnet is working with schools to create tailored School Mobility Plans — real, actionable steps to make school routes safer. This is part of a Safe Routes to School grant that Trailnet was awarded.

City Considers Policies To Create Safer Roadways For Everyone Aiming to educate residents on safer streets for all, the Webster Groves Traffic Advisory Commission held a public meeting on July 9.
