Enough with the rationalizations and excuses: the Nazi salute is not a troll, and it is not an accident.

The neo-Nazi movement is alive and well, and some of the most powerful people in our country have now actively embraced it.

It’s even harder to carry on as usual when you see people in your community suffering as a result of Trump’s racist and homophobic orders. And harder yet when you’re told you’re exaggerating and blowing things out of proportion.

It’s hard to go on with our daily lives as if the U.S. were not rushing toward dictatorship and fascism, as if global instability as a result of Trump’s echoing Putin’s propaganda were not to escalate, as if genocide were not happening across the pond, supported by taxpayer money.

If I have any credibility or goodwill among you, please please please read this.

The CDC is purging data, so people should archive their favorite CDC datasets today, namely ones around race/ethnic diversity, LGBTQ, and reproductive health. Also health data involving climate. The opposite of diversity is segregation.
The opposite of equity is hoarding resources.
The opposite of inclusion is exclusion.
We need to name that these are segregationists who are excluding to hoard resources.

This hatred was gradually developed by humans. From ideas, words, stereotypes & prejudice through legal exclusion, dehumanization & escalating violence... to systematic and industrial murder.

Auschwitz took time.
