They walk over to me and pick me up, the game going into a short cutscene like in Legend of Zelda when Link picks up a key item. Getting frozen in my dizzy fairy sprite as I rotate between the player character's hands, hearing my player giggle at me about how cute I look like that (5/6)

the entire thing somehow serving as both a reminder of how useful I am, and of how helpless I am. Feeling a mixture of pride and embarrassment as my player chases me down, eventually getting the enemy to drop a now very dizzy fairy. (4/6)

From there I started imagining a section of the game where I get captured by an enemy, sort of like Cappy in Mario Odyssey gets stolen by that bird! Watching my player chase after me from room to room, seeing how they struggle without my help (3/6)

I'm imagining myself acting similarly to Fidget from Dust: An Elysian Tail, where I'm a companion character who enables a part of the player's kit, likely some kind of magic to help solve puzzles or make combat easier! (2/6)

Love that even when I'm digital, the fairy thoughts don't go away. Currently thinking about being a fairy companion, but like, an actual in-game fairy companion. A couple of games are feeding into this one idea so bear with me here. (1/6)
