Bonta: Trump has contempt for the rule of law because it boxes him in. It restrains him and constrains him, as it should.

While criticizing this decision may be a short-term move for him, it’s probably a long-term problem. These are human beings who have memories.

Let's be clear. There's NOTHING radical about resisting Trump's agenda. There's NOTHING radical about:
- opposing unconstitutional tariffs (SCOTUS rejected them)
- demanding the prosecution of sex offenders (vs "forgetting" the Epstein files)
- wanting rule of law protections for undocumented ppl

How will the U.S. pay back the illegal tariffs? Every reporter should reference this and ask Trump exactly how much money is on “the tariff shelf.” Cut ‘em a check.

A teeny tiny bit of good news amid the gloom. Though it's not the GOP's intent, this legislation is going to benefit women of color specifically (whose experience of pregnancy and delivery are more at risk and in need of maternal mortality prevention).
