A terribly sad year for radio- Steve, Annie and now Johnnie. The ultimate easy listen- it all sounded so natural. It’s because it was for him. A true great. I learnt a lot from him (including his sense of rebellion, which I never saw coming!). A wonderful communicator- rest in peace Johnnie Walker.

As a kid it may have excited me, but now I just think “my German rear-wheeler’s gonna struggle in this!” Plus I’ll walk in it like I’ve fouled my breeches. I’m convinced that being born in the blizzard of ‘63 is the reason I’ve hated it all my life. Pretty from my office, though!
