THIS SUNDAY, The Sunday Times has brought back The Funday Times as part of their reading campaign and The Phoenix is involved! The Funday Times was a weekly comic supplement, all big and newspapery, an absolute joy to read and an instrumental part of a lot of our childhoods 🀩

The first review of WE ARE DRAGON is out, and it's a corker!

"Highly original, technically brilliant, and utterly gripping, this is middle-grade sci-fi at its absolute peak."

With World Book Day just round the corner I’ve seen quite a few teachers asking about good books to share in assembly.

For this week’s #KidsBooksFriday, what books do you think work well across age groups and/or with a mixed group of kids?

That’s what I assumed and I usually hate to have errors pointed out (even if they were made by someone else in something I’ve worked on). It conflicts sharply with my need for everything to be correct though so swings and roundabouts!

Take it all as good news, your brain was clearly just moving so fast it had predicted what it was going to say and moved on! Just as a matter of interest, would authors want to know if there is an error in a book that has already been published? I always assume not.

Quiet Storm was one of my favourite books of the year when it was released. Always Angel is another triumph - authentic voices and full of empathy. Both books allow children to find themselves and to appreciate others. Great reads too! #KidLitUK #UKKidLit

Following this because I would love to read them! I’ve been racking my brain but apart from the SF Said ones already mentioned I haven’t come up with anything else I’ve read that fits. Books by PΓ‘draig Kenny and Alastair Chisholm have themes of discrimination but not what you are looking for.
