They might be more so sports movies, but Apollo Creed from Rocky is wonderful. Love how boisterous he is, and the late, great Carl Weathers played him perfectly. Plus seeing Creed go from antagonist to trusted ally in Rocky 3 is so satisfying. He's a rival that elevates the movies for me.

Since everyone’s covered the direct links between 7/8, I’ll also add that seeing Chris between both games is kinda funny. In 7 he’s an average dude, and then in 8 he’s back to boulder-bane Chris. It’s like, that’s a whole different guy.

Thanks! What’s even meaner is that the blowout basically shut down the Sally Pride in their hand. Yep, Shredder was a house. The big Sneak one in particular was fun. Swapping out a little flier or deathtoucher to blast in for 6 was great.

Did a Magic TMNT prerelease! Was unsure on the deck, but it ran quite well. Every version of Shredder put in work, and Karai’s Technique was bonkers; took out three creatures with it once! Won 2 rounds, and lost 1 that was close, but had to roll for since we were out of time. A real blast!

As the saying goes: hope springs eternal! 👍

Isn't it exciting to see someone find a different version of themselves? Maybe it speaks to the optimist in me, believing we all have that kind of potential, and that we could even look forward to who we might become.

I think of George Foreman and (recent addition to the list) Alysa Liu in a similar way: they're an antidote to the feeling that life is a series of closing doors, and that you have to stay on-rails. You can leave, rebuild yourself, and become heavyweight champion, or win gold.

Fun fact: the single vinyl I own is Carly Rae Jepsen's Emotion. It's just so cool how Jepsen came back strong after it felt like Call Me Maybe might define her. I can't help but root for someone like that, who comes back different, but arguably better than ever.

I think it’d be funny if it ended up as a weird, centaur thing to throw everyone off.

Been rewatching some of Panic at the Disco’s Denver performance; I was obsessed with it when I was younger, and it holds up! 👍 I’m all over the place when it comes to music. While drawing I cycle through a fair amount of hyper pop, rap, Midwest emo, and musicals.

An version to end the day. Couldn't decide on arms up or down, so I made this piece modular with swap-able arms.

I like the sound of anything-goes; I can only imagine the shenanigans. 😂

Nothing like some friendly fisticuffs to liven things up. I have to get around to that series sometime; it's always looked fun.

I have no idea why I dreamed up a bitter-sweet tale; it started taking shape while I was sketching, and I ended up making some notes once I'd finished my drawing. Maybe I've been feeling tragic lately.

They were rescued on the twelfth day, in the morning. It wasn't until days later that Hollen found his letters, eleven in total. By the light of the setting sun he read the letters. And, as he discovered the eleven times he'd fallen in love, Hollen fell a twelfth time with no way to forget.

On that second night, Hollen wrote a letter to confess his feelings and hid it in a pocket, intending to deliver it the next day. He'd only find it again when it was much too late. Every day for eleven days the two met for the first time, fell in love by evening, and lost each other in the night.

Hollen! Fun fact: he was once stranded on with a friend on an island that erased their memories every night. On the second day, after the first reset, they fell in love. Hollen's friend would fall another ten times, and Hollen eleven. I'll elaborate below.

Next time on the Fran show: Hollen! He's been cursed with beauty, so I guess he's decided to own it. He actually has a twin sister I haven't drawn in a while. I have a habit of iterating on my OCs in the form of new OCs, so there are plenty of twins and siblings.

Definitely an important one. But my love for GX feels more multimedia (split between the anime, cards, video games, manga, etc), so it didn’t quite fit an anime focused list. Though I will say the GX manga would likely be on my list of 10 manga. 👍

I do clear that bar, albeit barely! I think I’ve seen bits and pieces of a lot. It seems like my “get to know me list” says something about my watching habits too. 😅

Man, I need to watch more anime: this list has barely changed in ages. Seems my tastes are still pretty light, and I like ensemble casts.

I dunno if I’m even qualified to make a list, since I’m way behind, but here goes.
