Here in Canada I think supporting Ukraine/Palestine has become the norm outside of far right folks. If it’s not the norm it’s definitely not some weird fringe of society…while most of the people I talk to identify as left of centre, they’re essentially centrists and definitely not far leftists.

We have a family member in a housing co-op. The building has two or three rooms for guests, no charge, you just need to book ahead of time. It’s never been unavailable when we needed it, it seems like a great alternative to buying a bigger house just for hosting guests occasionally.

We stayed in a dorm used like this in Toronto when we were there during the summer, it was great. Extra nice that we had multiple rooms and a small kitchen.

I’m from Sask- there were some annoyances dealing with time changes because we were near the AB border, but we were on the same time for half the year.

Overall, not changing the time was great. I miss it and I complain about changing the clocks every time I had to. 15 years, till not used to it.
