So if you felt like Ash’s JN outfit is “not cool enough”, now you know it’s intentional! Personally, I really love this detail!

Although the final design was changed (probably for simplicity), we can still see him wearing a bunch of t-shirts with various fun prints in the anime (SM & JN), as well as his love for lame souvenirs (AG015, DP095, XY059)!

Fun fact: Ash canonically loves lame T-shirts.

One of the notes by Ken Sugimori on Ash’s original JN concept art says 「御当地Tシャツ　旅先で買う(ダサい)」 - “A local T-shirt bought while traveling (Lame)”. The print depicts Japanese lantern with kanji 「関東」 simply meaning “Kanto”. ↓

Sapphira is still smaller than other Glameow, being the size of Pikachu. But I retconned ear tufts at some point because I wanted to stick to canon… But now I’m thinking if by doing so I just deprived her of her individuality? But also I’m afraid to overcomplicate her design…

When I was a kid, Annet’s Glameow, Sapphira, had a bit different design, with her body being smaller and her ears having tufts - because in real life Sapphira had the same, making her look like a little lynx!

I wonder if I should bring them back… ↓
