Started re-reading Project Hail Mary ahead of going to the cinema to see it soon, but then started remembering bits I’d forgotten and now can’t decide if I should continue on or allow that rediscovery for the film…

Came within half hour of this post, despite with every drop the time getting further into the distance. 🀷

Better that than the alternative though!οΏΌ

Parcel delivery website; "Your parcel is two stops and half a mile away."

Also parcel delivery website; "Your parcel won't arrive for nearly three hours."

That's one hell of a lunch break. Fair play.

Whilst I don't have love for the leader of either party, today gives me more hope for the possibility of a Labour-Green coalition gov. It would move politics back to the left. I can't see Greens winning a majority, or Labour course correcting under Starmer, so this feels the best case scenario.

27.02.2026 09:18 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

Last night proves there is a huge groundswell of support for the politics of the left. That Labour came third is all down to Starmer. He has led the party away from those ideals and in this by-election he put self preservation ahead of the party. He must resign. (Preferably once Burnham’s back)

And yes, I know we don't vote for him directly unless he's standing in our constituency, but a vote for a party is also a vote for the leader of that party to be the PM should they win, so that matters to me.

Greens continue to do well in polls, but I struggle with Polanski & the whole, hypno boob job thing. I can't work out if a) he believed it, so is/was a moron, or b) didn't believe it & was a conman. Both stop me from voting for them & it has to be 1 of the 2. I'm open to being convinced otherwise

By all means, play Cunha Mbeumo and Amad when you expect to be up against it, but when you need to have a player to build attacks around who can play with his back to the goal, Sesko has to start. #MUFC

Another vital goal from Sesko but it’s becoming unfathomable to see him not starting, especially against teams who will drop deep and deny the space behind for most of the game (yes, I know how we scored.) Utd playing a lot of football without an attacking focal point and it shows…

Hope you all had a nice weekend out there. House is back to normal as the kids and wife are all back at school/work, and whilst it's peaceful, I do kinda miss them being around. (Don't tell them, obviously.)

Not totally complaining. It's a start. #BritishWeather

A brief interlude from calling for the abolishing of anachronistic institutions to watch the Skimo. This is the sort of awesome event that makes the Olympics great, especially in this snow. Love it. #WinterOlympics

Police are currently considering allegations against Andrew, who has consistently denied any wrongdoing.’

Picture of Sir Keir Starmer above it.

They are ingrained in the inner workings of the world with unchecked privilege and have been using it for their own selfish causes, not that of the people, and if Andrew hadn't had a penchant for shagging, we would still be none the wiser. End it now.

Seriously, abolish the monarchy. Be done with this archaic notion of bloodline affording you such a position of power and privilege. All my life it's been 'The Royals have no real power, they can't do any harm. They're just figureheads,' and that has now been completely blown out of the water...

As parents, we should always teach our kids that violence isn’t the answer.

Unless it’s against a Nazi. Always punch a Nazi. My kids know this rule, make sure yours do too.

Props to this kid.

Pep Guardiola responds to Sir Jim Ratcliffe's immigration comments Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola says we will "have a better society" by embracing other cultures, in response to Sir Jim Ratcliffe's immigration remarks.

He might manage City, but outside of football, Pep comes across as a thoroughly awesome bloke. In another universe, he inherited the United role after Fergie. That would have been something. www.bbc.co.uk/sport/footba...

15 years since Mike Skinner/The Streets released Computers & Blues. Sometimes an album comes along exactly when you need it. Mike's music often felt like it was soundtracking my life, but Computers & Blues hit in a very different timely way. Loved it now. Needed it then. My favourite Streets album.
