"Degenerate" queer artists have always been central to progressive political and cultural movements btw, and we always will be. Our art has always been uniquely scrutinized, ridiculed, and demonized in the process. History is constantly just repeating itself.

how I feel since 2016 or so

Hate the obsession w/ making everything kid-friendly, the world shouldn't cater to children all the time. That's your job as a parent, to protect them and surveil what they get access to. Content and media isn't supposed to raise your kids, you are. There are things that just aren't meant for kids.

It's always the bulls on parade, snorting and seeing red, charging in the name of, doing what they're told yeah. Shepard them back into their sanctuary where they belong, because they don't belong anywhere near the general public.

We will not be distracted.
We will not be discouraged.
We’ve got our eyes on the prize.

And we will build the prosperous, free nation for all that we deserve.

I'm so irritated I can't just create an artist profile and upload music on the platforms I want. I can't just do that. It's so fucking stupid. The big platforms create artificial barriers for independent artists, probably because of pressure from music labels.

You know what's a great idea? Shooting guns repeatedly in a suburb that has elderly people and young children because we think it's a great way to celebrate the new year. Totally not something assholes do.

We, as humans, love to hate, and to demonize "others," as we continue to renew our subscriptions to the latest platforms of tribalism, and we're struggling to survive together by doing so. We need to change these habits because they are our addiction.

It'd be reeeeeally nice if my self-assuredness could actually be around when I need it most. Which is, like, always.

Ignorance is bliss, but it feels morally wrong to willfully avoid awareness of the deepest pits of cruelty humanity can sink to. It's acceptance of knowledge of the vile acts people committed being outside of your own control that is difficult to achieve.

To seek is to suffer, but the masses of humanity have always had to suffer regardless. So seek the mitigation of suffering of the masses to make the suffering of seeking worth it.

I like to think there is a fine balance between feeling all of the suffering around the world and feeling only the presence of being in our existence, but it's probably more akin to an ebb and flow of the tides as it's influenced by our immediate environment and awareness of environments elsewhere.
