Funny thing is, although the video is doing REALLY well I'm not seeing any wishlists from it u.u
It probably comes from the fact I'm not talking about my game in it u.u

I still don't like how narrow the letters are if you have handwritten style fonts to recommend I'm all ears u.u

Before change, the font is very thin and looks almost grey compared to the level border

After change, the font is thicker and looks so white that it has a bit of bloom

I was not happy with how readable was my font... turns out I could just tweak a setting and boom, much better

Bref déso j'ai une oeuvre inspirée par l'art nouveau dans mon jeu, mais au moins elle est là pour mettre un exemple d'une vision irréaliste, romancisée du monde qui est remise en question immédiatement et tombe rapidement pour laisser place à autre chose 👀

En allant du côté de l'article dédié à l'art nouveau belge on tombe rapidement sur le lien avec la colonisation du congo !
Et sur le fait que la popularisation du style est bien partie de là, on voit les biais du système scolaire français du coup :/

Je dis pas que le lien n'est pas là (au contraire), je dois chercher plus loin mais en tout cas le lien n'est pas mainstream. Je vais creuser plus dans les directions indiquées dans sa vidéo mais je suis surprise que ça soit aussi peu publicisé

J'ai personnellement découvert ce moivement à travers mes cours d'art plastique au collège et les oeuvres d'Alfons Mucha en particulier me parlaient beaucoup
Il n'y avais aucune mention de ce lien à la colonisation lors de mes cours... Et en regardant la page wikipédia sur l'art nouveau... Rien

La dernière vidéo de @acheunderscore.bsky.social m'a touchée personellement sur mon attachement à l'art nouveau, je n'avais aucune idée de son lien avec l'art colonial 🧶

I won't stop pushing good projects like yours to my community, I hope you'll be able to get through this very rough patch for opensource 🫂

They could close down contributions but it would be pretty harmful to the project

It is very hostile yes
And how: that's how opensource contribution works, anyone can send contributions then the maintainers have a look at it and either refuse or help the changes be integrated

Yup as are most big opensource projects nowadays :/

Honestly, AI slop PRs are becoming increasingly draining and demoralizing for #Godot maintainers.

If you want to help, more funding so we can pay more maintainers to deal with the slop (on top of everything we do already) is the only viable solution I can think of:
