6 years ago today I started a project that shaped the direction of my life. After having finished it and having to rebuild it for a new medium afterwards I’m still not close to the top of that mountain but one day I will be. I hope it resonates with everyone else as much as it does for me someday

r/analytics • IOh We just found out our AI has been making up analytics data for 3 months and I'm gonna throw up. Support So we've been using an Al agent since November to answer leadership questions about metrics. It seemed amazing at first fast answers, detailed explanations, everyone loved it. I just found out it's been hallucinating numbers this entire time. Our VP of sales made territory decisions based on data that didn't exist. Our CFO showed the board a deck with fake insights. The Al was just inventing plausible sounding percentages. I only caught it by accident when someone asked me to double check something. I started digging, and holy shit, it's bad.

I think one thing I've noticed about why social media makes me particularly miserable more recently is that I can't parse the emotion or intention behind posts anymore. Nothing seems sincere and people use the same words in both positive and negative ways. It's just such an incomprehensible mess!

I'm proud to be autistic but there are certain parts of my autism I wish I didn't have. particularly the part that cares *way* too much what others think of my special interests. negative comments about the shit I enjoy can *genuinely* ruin my day, especially coming from friends/mutuals... it blows.

To reject the US as a fundamentally American country with a deep shared history and commonality with the rest of the Americas, including that Spanish has long been our de facto national second language, is on a deep level anti-American. It's hating actual American culture and history and tradition.
