I gave up and ended up cutting out the two minutes that they had problems with, so now after a few months my John Waters history video is back up on the channel.

Yeah it’s super frustrating to be honest and is one of the things that has made me want to move away from the platform for a long time now. I really enjoy the process of making videos, but in a lot of ways I feel too contained there in what I want to do.

Tbh I highly doubt that they would want me, and where I’m at right now and where I’m trying to take the direction of what I do I don’t know if it would be a great fit for me right now anyways. But those folks are cool and they do great stuff

This scene is also why that video isn’t allowed on the platform anymore even after repeals, I’m to the point of just cutting that section out and having it be a few minutes shorter.

YouTube’s content system is so goofy and broken, this email is because of me talking about a character in a movie that commits suicide in a video from a year and a half ago.

Yeah! The game definitely has some rough edges to it but I really loved it overall and thought it was a very unique experience that I’m still quite fond of. I’d love to see RE experiment with it at least once. I’m sad that a 3rd Evil Within is almost certainly never going to happen.

I didn’t say it in the video itself, but yesterday’s video is actually the first part of a two parter that I’m doing that are both centered around bad things that happened to Andy Warhol. I’ll be shooting the second one pretty soon and it should be around in a couple weeks.

Thanks so much! And yeah, I didn’t realize when I shot it how much the beanie would blend in to just looking like part of my head lmao

New Video!

In June of 1968, Valerie Solanas would become world famous for shooting Andy Warhol, nearly killing him. When arrested she was asked why she did this, she responded: β€œRead my manifesto and it will tell you what I am.”

I’ve been spending a lot of time in one in the past year here in northwestern NC and I love it. The cabin I stay at is so remote that they can’t get internet there, I’ll go for a few days at a time and it’s a nice getaway

Reading Cabal makes me sad that a certain subgenre of horror where a weird town that’s not on any maps that lies hidden somewhere in the vastness of the unknown lands of the rural Americas has mostly stopped existing because of phones and the internet.

That being said, I know that’s not Resident Evil’s base DNA and I wouldn’t want a Breath of the Wild or Elden Ring situation where the success of a single game then changes the full trajectory of a series. But I wouldn’t mind a one time thing as an experiment at all.

I haven’t gotten to play Requiem yet so I don’t know how they handle these sections in it, but Evil Within 2 clearly showed that you can go semi-open world and do interesting things with it with horror. It’s one of the best horror games ever made because it’s so different.

03.03.2026 16:52 β€” πŸ‘ 71    πŸ” 7    πŸ’¬ 8    πŸ“Œ 4

I saw that! I’ve got the weirdest luck with that stuff. All the Scream nonsense happened right after I made that video too lol I’ve got a few videos that would have been drastically different if I had just waited a few weeks

Exactly, despite its flaws it’s one of the reasons that I think Texas Chainsaw 2022 is one of the smartest legacy sequels. Because the second Sally shows up for her β€œit’s all lead to this” kind of moment she is immediately discarded. It’s a definitive statement on that kind of stuff.

This is largely what is holding it back as art also on the creative end. Clinging to Sidney, Gale, Stu and acting like the franchise cannot exist without them is directly what has creatively cut these things off at the knees.

It’s funny how the people who are die hard supporting Scream right now are the same ones who are killing it long term. Treating it like it’s a religion or a big cult is off putting for people with normal minds that haven’t been poisoned by fandom. It comes across as deeply weird.
