Even as a desensitized person, it's a bit much.
Rebirth also has:
- Excellent story written by industry experts.
- Combat honed by longtime fighting game experts.
- Excellent voice acting for 75%+ content.
- Excellent graphics/physics implementation.
- Detailed environments.
- 400 tracks on OST.
It's more of; who else does all that?
Certainly.
Said Sequel to a Remake is a combination of 10 titles accross books, movie, manga, console, and Mobile Games. Many without good translation. Many inaccessible on and modern hardware.
The first FF7R title was 60-150 hours. And the second is more like 80-200 hours.
Fair point.
I'm personally doing game reviews of every game featured at #GoldenJoystickAwards and #TheGameAwards alongside a few I felt really should have been mentioned.
We can do our part as a community to let people know what's out there.
The best thing about #TGA is that it gets people to think about titles they missed while looking at new stuff too.
I consider it an absolute success in that way even if they shill FromSoft and miss some excellent games and categories they should totally have.
Forgot to follow you in this too. Thanks for the reminder on Twitter.
Persona 6 never. ๐
For sure!
While I reply on the posts of others, all posts on my own Blue Sky account will be gaming reviews :)
All in all, that's it for my #gamereview of #HonkaiStarRail . I was a bit hesitant to try it at first, but the game really hooked me and blew me away. I've played since launch and continue to play going into the 3.0 patch.
youtu.be/JruxFQurUDQ?...
If you're on #PC, #PS5, or #Android #ios, try it!
[Monetization]
As HSR is a free title, monetization is an important discussion.
I'm happy to report the game is extremely F2P friendly! The content is balanced and worked in such a way that simply progressing through the game unlocks some characters and gives you plenty of currency for others.
[Characters]
The characters and voice acting in this world are phenomenal! (For English, JP, and CN voices.)
Characters have a uniqueness to their gameplay and strategy akin to MOBAs. Each character plays very differently, so you can really get creative and experiment!
Memorable and great.
[Combat]
Star Rail has turn based combat. That system certainly isn't for everyone, but #Hoyoverse went above and beyond to polish it in such a way that it is very beginner friendly while also being something with depth.
You have a turn gauge and certain actions that ignore said gauge.
[Story]
The story is very anime inspired. Think a more lighthearted take on Cowboy Bebop.
Each and every planet you go to is loosely based on a real life place on Earth. On said planets, certain themes present themselves in a very well-thought way.
Good story that's about 75% voiced.
Honkai Star Rail
๐๐๐๐
#HonkaiStarRail is a cross-platform, free to play, turn-based RPG. The story is a space fantasy where you and your fellow Trail Blazers work to help planets in peril.
#HSR is a F2P friendly breath of fresh air and I can't recommend it enough.
(4/5)
Legitimately, some of 2024's most talked about titles got 1 nomination nod or none at all.
Can't even argue a visibility, earnings, or critical reception angle.
Persona 3 Reload was nowhere to be found either.
You guys have the wildest bias against cross console live service games.
#ZZZ released this year in all territories. On PC, PS5, and Mobile. Has trailers with 1-7million views a piece. Banger music. Constant updates.
Game made 100s of millions in revenue. 2024 release.
Only up for Mobile Game.
Time to cosplay Lady from Devil May Cry?
#DevilMayCry
Excited as always.
I would love to see the categories split up a bit because I find it silly for DLC to win game of the year.
Hope we see a few new categories:
- Best Platform Port
- Best Remake
- Best Sequel
- Best Live Service Release (to recognize big updates like #ZZZ , #HSR , and #WUWA)
It's such a fun deck!
I really like how easy it is to mix with other themes. Also, fun to see Cosmic Blazar Dragon not be a joke card.
Same. I like that I can more easily go for topics I like here.

I love to write, and I am an artist in that sense... But not really. My more conventional art is not to my own standards
Looking at art is awesome! It's like a bundle of someone's vision and emotional state on some subject.
I love to see content that bridges the gap to places others didn't go
I got a Regional Top 8 and side event wins with Zefra. Love Pendulums!
Zebra and Pendulum Magicians blend with everything when you mash them together hard enough. ๐
I'm a bit weird in that way. I like min maxing whatever I want to play (art, gameplay) until I can do tournaments, events, etc with them.
I'm certainly not winning regionals with a Digital Bug build, but I might Lab something like Noble Knights super hard until I see results or call it impossible.
I like that it's functional Water, Gishki, and Nekroz support while not being beyond generic.
Card design like this is way better than stuff like Diabelstar or Fiendsmith for the game.
I would love a Chrono Trigger franchise entry with time, love, and graphics behind it!
I've heard excellent things from friends about Sea of Stars, so I'll be picking that up during this holiday season alongside Metaphor Re: Fantazio.
Final Fantasy 7 Remake part 3.
The first two exceeded all my expectations, so I'm hoping they nail the landing for part 3.
Some of the choices Veilguard made are pretty cool. Others are baffling.
I certainly don't think it's a 1/10 like some people make it out to be, but I certainly couldn't call it a 10/10 either.
Updates or mods could totally push it for the last 3-4 points to be a 10/10 game for sure.
This is fair.
I was pretty on the fence about it. On one hand, I REALLY like Fable as a franchise, and I thought Dragon Age titles were okay to great.
Hence, reading reviews and watching others play it before buying.
It didn't hook me like the previous DA games or Fable.
