So then I put some wet food from home in her dish and she ate a good solid serving of that, too. ❤️❤️❤️ They let me stay and visit with her a while and I left plenty of extra food. They'll re-check bloodwork tomorrow after she metabolizes a meal or two and we'll regroup from there. Phew.

Got there and she was pitiful. IV in her paw, wearing a cone, dirty because she can't groom, just... sickly looking. So I opened her door and she immediately got up and came close for pets and scritches. I held out a chicken treat and when I tell you she gobbled that thing down... 😂

This little booger gave me a scare today. The vet called w/an update this morning and said she wouldn't eat for them at all. Wanted to know if I'd come by and see if she'd eat for me. 😩 So I packed up a little bag with her dish and wet food and dry food and her favorite freeze dried chicken treats.

Do your eyes have those warm crinkles at the corners when you laugh? Or maybe a dimple on your cheek? Your chin? Sometimes I wonder what things my fingers might trace as I study you.

Update: Ultrasounds of liver & gallbladder are good. She's on IV fluids, antibiotics, and an appetite stimulant (Ha. That silly piglet on an appetite stimulant.) So the goal is to get her eating and recheck bloodwork for hoped improvement. She's in great hands but I already miss her.

No obvious cause of illness but mildly elevated bilirubin and liver enzymes. They're keeping her over the weekend to monitor and ready to intervene with treatment if needed. I'm worried.

Now Susan is sick. Upset tummy, low appetite, huddled up like she doesn't feel well. Just dropped her at the vet. Send her good thoughts, please.
