Cultured butter next!

Every couple of days I get a weird idea I can’t get out of my head and then I have to dedicate all of my free time to it until it’s finished. Addictive stuff.

Me too! I only started properly doing it in mid-October and I’ve been totally obsessed since then. Every stage of it is super satisfying.

I do an initial coloured drawing and then write a script, what colour I want in which order and what I need to cut next. Printing lighter colours first usually makes them pop more in the end, and I recently got Ternes Burton Registration Pins which makes aligning a lot easier !! :)

Definitely worth checking out when you get to it - I felt a lot more creative liberty knowing that I can change colours of layers if I wanted

Thank you!! Have you been using Ternes Burton registration pins? They’ve been a game changer for me and I know my reverse printed text will be fine even if I need to add another layer (like the shadow) !

A multi-coloured lino print on a white piece of paper against a turquoise background. The print is of a vintage Peugeot coffee grinder, with the wooden parts in shades of yellow, orange and brown and the metal grinder on top in light, primary and dark blue. A small dark blue logo in the centre shows a small lion figure and the word ‘Peugeot’ in cursive.

Just finished a series of 13 of these limited prints, inspired by the (at least 13) Peugeot coffee grinders my grandma has accrued from years of flea markets (and a tendency to collect things).

A Lino print of a Gallo Olive oil can with a black-on-white chicken and ‘Gallo’ emblem in the middle, gold colouring the top half of the tin and red colouring the bottom half of the tin. Along the bottom there is a golden thin strip. Beneath the logo, in smaller letters, there is the words ‘olive oil’ in yellow, and beneath that in slightly smaller text, in black, are the words ‘Desde 1919.’

Tarot card inspired lino print featuring ‘The Lovers’- two snails meeting under the moonlight in a starry sky. ‘VI’ and ‘The Lovers’ are above and below the snails respectively, in red.

Final version of ‘The Lovers’. Printing by hand makes it a little difficult to evenly press onto the paper, but maybe one day I’ll invest in a printing press.
