Got my first ever Perfect Chain on a 16 difficulty chart minutes before it hit 2026 here!
I'm not a rhythm game person (I only like this one) but I'm extremely proud of this, Advent: One-Winged Angel is one of the most notorious songs in the game.

Tediously, is the short answer!
To draw with a mouse I generally just stack a lot of quick, short strokes with low opacity to form lines, and often I fill more space with thicker lines than I need, then slowly erase/sculpt the edges until I get the line I want.
Don't know that I'd recommend it!

Had been replaying some Ratchet & Clank games 6 months back, and did this quick and dirty Super Smash Flash 2 style render of Ratchet (Rift Apart design) so that I could play around with palette swap ideas for fun. Never posted it for some reason.
