I read some great books and some not so great ones. It’s hard picking a favorite this month but I’d probably give it to King of the Wyld, though The Vanished Birds is a close second

New year, new shelf

The plot really surprised me, I loved the relationships between Seb and Theo and between Seb and Orok, and it hit me in a way I didn’t expect. Legendborn became one of my favorite series and Psycho really tickled my brain in all the right ways.

I read 81 books in 2025, my favorite of which was The Entanglement of Rival Wizards. I was not expecting to love this book so much after I gave Nightmare Before Kissmas 2.5 last year but the author really improved in every way.

Finished the year off strong knocking out some really great books, including Raven Scholar which took me 7 months to finish.
I also read one of my least favorite books of the year this month

After a lackluster October, I had some great reads this month! I’m still in the middle of 7 books which I hope to finish by the end of the year (which means I shouldn’t be starting any new ones in December…)

October reads - it was a poor reading month, though What Moves the Dead was a standout. I will hopefully finish a lot more next month as I’m currently in the middle of 8 books

September reads - it was a great reading month filled with some of my favorite reads of the year. I think The Entanglement of Rival Wizards will be number one this year.

April reads - The Floating World, In Case You Read This, Fall For Him, Lovely Dark and Deep

I finished up 3 ARCs in April: highly recommend Lovely Dark and Deep (for magic school vibes) and The Floating World (for FF7 vibes). Tracy Deonn does it again with another 5 star book, and I can’t wait to read the sequel. 📚

March had some really great reads and some disappointing finds

Ahh I’m 75% of the way through this book. I love the unique mer lore and queer characters! My biggest gripe is how it repeats content when they switch POV

I’ve been checking the Little Free Library across the street from my house since I moved in and finally found a book I want to read! I’m also currently reading his The Tainted Cup so good timing 📚
