Lots of discussion on what Trump's administration would do and how far they'd go.
But equally important question is what radical right wing actors, groups and people think they can get away with under a Trump presidency. What will be supported or at least tolerated.

We tend to think of mass murder events when the word “pogrom” is used, but presumably there were many such attacks initiated that didn’t result in deaths. See also the Limerick Pogrom from 1904.

OK. Whether you want to call it a pogrom or not, Israelis/Jews were clearly targeted for attacks and harassment in Amsterdam. Yes, some of Maccabi Tel Aviv’s ultras behaved disgracefully the day before, but that’s no excuse for going after people who had nothing to do with those incidents.

#C4News accounts of IDF and IPS torture of Palestinian detainees seem credible. Not because it’s #Israel but because similar abuses happen under all armies, including UK/US. It’s never acceptable. No atrocity - 10/7, 9/11, Christchurch, Beslan, whatever - can justify or excuse it.

A friend recently shared this letter to The Independent newspaper from 24 March 2002.

It’s a fair summary of the position. The unhyphenated version is used by virtually all Jewish community advocacy organisations and anti-antisemitism campaigners in the UK, but some of the mainstream media outlets still favour the hyphen.
