Documentation of nursing care generally reflects tasks but does not capture nurses' watching, thinking, decision-making, reassuring touches, kindness, compassion & conversations. If there are significant improvements in documentation of care, then actual care delivered has improved exponentially!

No question early defibrillation saves lives. Check out this podcast lobbying for AED use by RNs in Canadian hospitals. Staggering that citizens can use an AED in a public place but RNs can't use an AED on a hospital ward.
