It's certainly a season to forget, even if there were a couple of nice moments. Back when this site was Black & Red United, we used to have a Cake or Death (Goat or Fox) segment every offseason where we went through each of the players on the roster to evaluate whether the community would want them back.

People who close the windows on the airplane at takeoff: Who hurt you? How did your spirit get crushed to this extent?

You know if I was a club that just won their second wooden spoon in 4 years, have the longest playoff drought in the league. Maybe I would consider recognizing that and posting something like this. Nothing against the people working at the club specifically, Jason would never allow this. #DCU

And it's a shame, because they actually did take recent events into account - they finally dropped prices after raising them, came up with flexible plans for just having X amount of games to use as wanted, some actual good ideas!

And I wish it mattered! Because Levien and Kaplan ain't get my money.

A shell prematurely blew up on Saturday during a military event in California. Debris fell onto California Highway Patrol vehicles near a major freeway that had been ordered closed by Gov. Gavin Newsom, who had warned that the plans to fire shells over Interstate 5 could pose hazards for motorists.

Rubbish.. The best story is the chase for the Wooden Spoon. With Pec's goal securing 3 points for LA Galaxy, DC United have a pretty firm grip on the Spoon. The only way they could fumble this honor away would be winning in Atlanta next weekend.

The Philadelphia Union have routinely been among the best teams in MLS with some of the lowest first team payrolls each year.

Building a roster to compete once that way is hard enough. Overturning the roster several times to do it again and again? It's special.

Audi Field increasingly became a mausoleum, a good example of addictive entropy. A DCU game without drums is a devastating thing. It feels wrong. It feels like being covered in tar. It’s bad to experience on TV and far worse in person.
