Thank you to the Hype Studies conference @hypestudies.bsky.social organisers for organising, particularly Vassilis Galanos @velocitygravity.bsky.social for his own work on metaphors.

As a concluding remark, this blog post provides the pretext for a project we are working towards, focused on illustrating the effects of using metaphors when engaging with AI. The aim is to produce a web resource containing a database of metaphors, along with the impacts they may have.

Speakers were: @myra.bsky.social, analysing crowdsourced metaphors; Leo Lau, presenting counter-representations to AI imagery; @rainerrehak.bsky.social, evaluating AI narratives; and @anujgupta.bsky.social, and @yasser-tamer.bsky.social, examining metaphors in critical AI literacies in education.

With Cinzia Pusceddu compiling these ideas and discussions, we hope this blog piques your interest. Whilst this is by no means the definitive view of the broader debate, the discussions are without a doubt fascinating and impactful.
