I am a citizen and so are majority of Somalis in America. Good luck celebrating a policy change that really doesn’t have much impact on the Somalis you love to hate. We are here to stay 💁🏽‍♀️

Trump cannot do this-he absolutely has no authority over this. 700 Somalis in the US in total are under TPS until March 2026. But this will not stop his goons from arriving and terrorizing the city and ALL brown and black communities anyway.

This may be due to how Mn law works around local control of police departments and Sheriff's departments. I am not sure though

Trump has no more power to cut off Somali TPS (whether in one state or nationwide) before its March 17, 2026, expiration date than he has to spell our governor's name correctly. But we should also understand that only 705 Somalis are approved for TPS nationwide, presumably fewer in Minnesota.

The hypocrisy is stunning. The fine print. Under these visas, migrants farm workers had to have access to housing and cost was covered. Under new regs, migrants need to pay the farmers for housing or rent nearby. But no ICE raids to ag businesses.
