The Balloon Fiesta is so amazing! The first time I saw it, I had just started at UNM and was catching a bus to my Saturday morning class and it happened to be my birthday. I didn't know about the balloon fiesta and it just felt so magical to see so many dotting the sky.

Ugh, and those little elastic bands HURT! I had this costume and spent the whole night trick or treating with my mask in my pillowcase instead of on my face.

I'm dating myself, but I had a Holly Hobbie Easy Bake Oven. Somehow I got this costume when I was a kid and it was a huge deal! It was the only store-bought costume I ever had. Every other Halloween I had to go through my house and figure it out. Too bad it was hot and uncomfortable!

My writing has been a bit stalled the last *waves hands* while. I'm coming back to it by reminding myself that writing and creating art, especially right now, are revolutionary acts in their own right.

We had Spanish and French at my high school. And I worked full time to help pay bills and rent so study hall vs. French was a no brainer. Graduated in 94 from a very rural high school.
