In case you were looking for nearly 4k words on why Joseph Gordon-Levitt got Section 230 exactly backwards, I got you covered.
Also, if anyone knows him, please share. I hope we can get him on the right track with this stuff.
Just watched the Biggs Cut with my wife. Deeply satisfying. I completely get why 80% of Biggs was cut from the final film, BUT if you don't care about pacing and are just interested in character development, SO MUCH ABOUT LUKE ONLY MAKES SENSE IF YOU KNOW ABOUT HIS RELATIONSHIP WITH BIGGS
1/x 🧵
I really should have followed you earlier

09.02.2026 04:41 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Just a quick update from the Twin Cities. (Please forgive the unsolicited message). THINGS ARE NOT BETTER IN MINNEAPOLIS. The media is mostly moving on, Trump is focused on other stuff, BUT NOTHING HAS CHANGED ON THE GROUND. More than 2,000 DHS thugs continue to roam the streets, abducting people 24/7, assaulting legal observers with impunity, and routinely denying 1st, 4th, and 5th amendment rights. Drones and helicopters are overhead every day. Hundreds and hundreds of terrified families have not left their homes since mid-December ... relying on the community to bring them food and help with rent and other necessities. (Those people are NOT violent drug cartel sex offending murderers, as DHS would tell you. Most are legal residents or citizens.) If anything, things have just become more stressful and intractable (think trench warfare as a suitable metaphor): The resistance is better organized and numerous, but DHS has become more clever and better at disguise... and the county sheriff's office is increasingly supporting them . Do not let anyone tell you that Homans (the new person in charge of the occupation) is making anything better. Do not let anyone tell you that 700 ICE agents leaving the city has made much of a difference; the remaining force (again, ~2,000) is still larger than the entire city's police force (which is legally unable to do anything). Please call your congressional reps ... especially if there is any chance the administration might listen to them.
A desperate plea sent to me by a Minneapolis resident who's been on the front lines since the beginning of the ICE occupation:

This is where the kidnapped 5-year-old Liam Ramos is being held.

SCOTUS refused to block a lawsuit from family of Amir Locke, a 22-yold Black man killed by Minneapolis police during no-knock raid. The officer sought qualified immunity, but lower courts said bodycam footage was too unclear to support his defense.
Amir Locke’s family will get their day in court.
Margaret, you nailed it. Thank you for being here. Thank you for crying. Thank you.
PS: come on back for May Day, and the state fair. The seed art will be amazing.
Thx for the support last Friday for the MN General Strike
Public Notice subscriptions raised $14,314, which we rounded up to $5k each for Midway-Hamline Diaper Fund, Every Meal, & People Over Papers
If you’re looking to help, check out Stand With MN. As my dad used to say, take care of each other
Afterwards, I asked if he wanted a hug. He nodded & gave me a big bear hug. When it ended, he had tears in his eyes. “This is my neighborhood. I used to eat there all the time as kid,” he pointed down the road to a pho shop behind me. “I loved it.”
“Now it’s all ruined.”
I need to send a letter to the feckless representatives congratulating them for renewing my subscription to trauma daily. My therapist is appreciative.

We still don't know the names of the ICE agents who killed Gonzàlez behind the wheel of his car outside Chicago in September.
They were unmasked in this BWC footage from Franklin Park police.
If you have any information at all about these men—please text us on Signal at unraveled.66
It continued, and continues today though this is one example. (Offered for learning about this) en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wounded...

Protests happen, but most of what is happening in Minneapolis isn’t protesting.
More accurate terms:
- observers
- witnesses
- volunteers
- neighbors
- residents
- people
All the love in the world to you

I need to get my ass up first and eat something and listen to the radios. It calms me knowing what’s happening. If you want to talk I’m here, but I will need to be there for myself first.

Vance on Jan. 8: "You have a federal law enforcement official engaging in federal law enforcement action. That's a federal issue. That guy's protected by absolute immunity."
Vance today: "I didn't say that officers who engaged in wrongdoing would enjoy immunity. That's absurd."
He might be at his second address, it’s Florida. I think it’s on Donald Trump avenue. Just start asking around where that is, I’m sure you’ll find it JD

This is 100% FALSE. Immigration judges do NOT play any role in issuing administrative warrants. They are generated and signed by ICE officers themselves. ICE’s own training materials say they can’t be used for a search of a home!
Here’s a blank warrant form. Note who signs it.
Pernicious wordplay by Vance.
Vance: "Nobody is talking about doing immigration enforcement without a warrant."
Truth 1:
DHS is doing immigration enforcement IN PEOPLE's HOMES without a JUDICIAL warrant.
Truth 2:
Our system - the Fourth Amendment - requires a judicial warrant.
I’m sure you were planning on it, but that’s another story that isn’t being covered. Breakups still happen, boss is still an asshat, (not mine, but still), food still needs to get made, laundry still needs to be folded, and shoulders need to be cried on.
