Again, an elected official unilaterally changes party ignoring the wishes of their electorate. It doesn’t matter which parties are involved, a by-election should be triggered to give constituents their say in their representation.

It is not a surprise, tbh. Much as it breaks manifesto pledges, a responsible Government has to take such actions if other reasonable options have been exhausted. All citizens should understand that.
