Sink is still the best imo. But if flick heavy decks turn out to be really strong then everyone needs something to stop those pesky daggers! And for that SftS works like a charm. Are there other good options for every hero?

Printing Shelter from the Storm as Majestic is such a dick move! Pretty much half of all decks run Sink Below and its common! SftS is similar and will rival it in popularity. Sink is <1$ and SftS will probably be like 50-100$ #fabtcg

Great question! I like XP awarding that makes the PCs more proactive, whether XP-for-gold or exploration. The way XP is rewarded always incentivizes a certain play style. As long as it steers away from murderhobo-ing or passive PCs I'm fine with it!

Accurate. I once tried to make dnd feel more 'gritty' but I didn't change enough rules so my players found ways to mitigate slow healing through numerous class abilities. Adapting the system to suit your interests can be done, but it can be a lot easier to just switch to another system

Somehow I'll be running my first #pf2e session today. I can't remember even half the rules I've read. I'll just keep it simple and see how it goes. They've had a week to think about their characters already but we still might not make it past character creation today

After yesterdays #40k match we started thinking of running a narrative campaign, not just with crusade rules, but maybe with a game master. I wonder if I can find some premade resources for making/running it that we could utilize

Ooh didn't even know about leshys! Yeah if one player decides to make a leshy PC, I think having some twisted leshy reflavoring for the twigblights in the adventure is warranted

I quickly glanced pf monsters and didn't see twigblights, or do they have a different name? I might just use some ready made pf2e plant monsters instead of converting the 3.5 blights

I bought it on a whim from a bargain bin last year when visiting japan. It was something like 500 yen (3-4 $). Who wouldnt buy a classic intro module like that for such a price?

I was just talking about impressing your GM. If the GM is impressed when players engage with the mechanics of the game, that's great too, it just means the playgroup works well together. Not everyone seeks the same things when playing ttrpgs so it's important to find people who you like playing with

Well regardless of "rule of cool", is trying to impress your GM a bad thing though? I'm impressed by great role playing and creative use of resources to solve problems! If there's a way to encourage that then I count that as a win 😁

Do people really talk about these, I don't really get these statements. I mean I agree with what you are saying, I've just never heard anyone use these terms at the table. I have heard people talk about "Rule of cool" when they ignore rules when they get in the way of telling a compelling story.

Gonna play some 40k tomorrow, my csm smorgasbord army will be krumpin' some orks and necrons, dark gods willing. It's my fourth time playing 10e, we'll see if we can convince one of our playgroup members that 10e doesn't suck. #40k
