I agree with Jon here - I like the opening track of the Concrete Blonde album but the rest is kind of underwhelming. They're better when they lean into the goth-y stuff ("Bloodletting" is a Halloween playlist staple).

Any seed in the top half (64+) has a better chance of winning in R1 though there have been a lot of upsets so far. And many brackets are predicting Wrong to win - I haven’t listened to that Pogues album yet but it’s not as acclaimed as their previous two albums apparently. Wrong is great though.

I just remember Kent was aghast that Steel Wheels got in (barely, at 10 votes) and he joked about forcing someone to write a DC. 😂

Also this might be one week where there aren't any upsets, but I guess we'll find out! I have my eye on The Pogues/Nomeansno the following week though.

Something that I have been thinking about with attribution of "PhD level intelligence" or "PhD level expertise" to a machine is that it reflects an increasing trend among these AI bros and their sycophants to want the products of highly skilled training without actually doing any of the work.
