Bench highlighted that this is not an isolated incident. Justice Mandukhel remarked that child abduction cases have been ongoing since 2018, yet no effective action has been taken. A committee formed by the Supreme Court to address child abduction cases remains non-functional.

Justice Mandokhel criticized the Balochistan government for failing to locate the missing child. Justice Musarrat Hilali also emphasized the gravity of child abduction cases and noted the lack of preparation by government lawyers on the issue.

Justice Jamal Khan Mandokhail expressed concern over the situation in Quetta, where protests have paralyzed the city for six days following the child's abduction. Despite the widespread unrest, including schoolchildren taking to the streets, govt appears indifferent, he said.
