I don’t know what that means. I don’t know what that looks like. As mentioned, I don’t even care about the number.

It just feels wrong and depressing to consider 40 passing alone and pathetic like previous years.

It just kind of makes me feel like a loser that nobody cares about.

Usually few to nobody actually shows up.

It’s… disheartening. Especially because of my desire to celebrate connections.

I know that birthdays are supposed to not be as big of a thing as you get older, but I’ve always seen them as a way to celebrate connections and experiences with people.

I’ve been feeling lonely for a good long while. I’m single and romantically hopeless. I don’t really have a lot of friends to hang out with, and even less time or energy to do so.

I have plenty of family time, sure, but I’m more referring to community connections here.
