While on my travels, I did find a bookstore that actually had some doujinshi and ran across something super cool actually that's Zeta Gundam related! It's from 1990, there's some Akira books as well I got. In the meantime, Ai Naniwa herself is happy that I'm preserving her old Charma works:

Hello all! I am traveling and will be going to Thailand soon to see family, but in the meantime, enjoy some vintage Charma from Vol.1 of Tea Time - Mobile Suit Gundam Special. Hailing from 1980, this piece by Onko is titled Dream Zone and is one of the earliest slice-of-life Charma works I've seen.

I don't feel that the Urban x Chopra dark-past romance was that believable or all that good. For all of The Bluff's brutality, I expected some real passion and eroticism there. Tem could have benefitted from some of that, too. I feel like Lee was carrying the mission while Connor whined. 3/5 For me.

Imo, Temuera carried a lot of Karl Urban's scenes and I feel like we needed even more time with Lee. Quartermaster Lee brought a real element to the fact that Buccaneers were from all over the world. I was personally underwhelmed at a lot of Urban's scenes, Tem's character was the real brains.

There is a very strong motif in that Temuera's character is being treated as a secondary when in reality he's anything but. What happens with Quartermaster Lee is a bit ridiculous in how it was poised imo. It just felt so damn flat and I have no idea why they did what they did there.

As not to spoil other scenes in general, this film is very, very brutal with gore. I think it personally could have been a bit longer, though there are themes of Colonialism and racism (one was just downright on key with the times then but hard to watch) but surprisingly no outright eroticism.

Temuera Morrison's character is very much a cool, calm and collected gent and I feel he brung forth some of his character acting ethos for Boba into this role in particular, even if he's just a Quartermaster. He really runs the operation IC and is highly respected.

A sketchpad watercolour done from Bosham as the sun went down one evening in 1970. Not sure exactly where I sat but I think the church across the water is St Nicholas at Itchenor (the spire is a little more squat than depicted here). I think G and I were with an old friend and we went for beers in a nearby pub (the Berkeley Arms? Probably a bit too posh for scruffy arty types now). I didn't have a car then so it was bus or train plus a walk.

One of my favourite old watercolours, bringing back memories of exploring the Hampshire coast by bus or train with sketch pad. This was done at beautiful Bosham in 1970 on cheap paper, catching the sun going down over Chichester harbour - see alt text

I have often been demonized in my very own right for doing NSFW art several times, however, I have never extended this sort of behavior to anyone considering that notion. I could never bring myself to or let sexuality inform my opinion of someone unless they are harming others on purpose.

Thank you all for the supporting messages, this really did blind Side me this morning in hindsight, but I am working through it. It really does go to show that having a good support system does matter, and I'm glad that people understand my perspectives on keeping my space for adults.
