Holland2025 Six week house exchange in Utrecht Netherlands original home of Narda until age four when she hoped a boat to Australia. We took the ICE over to Cologne to see the Christmas Market. This will be edited and added to in January as we are on the road - including a cruise through the Suez Canal a travel in Saudi Arabia and Christmas and New Years in Thailand.... it may be finished before January. Don't know.

Our six week house exchange in Utrecht - where Narda was born and lived until migrating to Australia age 4. And our ride on the ICE fast train over to Cologne to see the Christmas Market

Doha Italics as always is Narda – though most of our blogs on this trip we will be doing differently. Narda will handwrite and add photos and drawings in her notebook then we will copy those pages into here. Incidentally, we used this same format a few years ago when we were in the Netherlands for three-months. See I was trying to sort how many times we have been in the Netherlands yesterday. I came up with thirteen times, for me with Narda, though I think there were a couple of more times.

Our three day stop in Doha with adventures shown in pictures, videos, words...

We spoke with the general or whatever he was, he had a lot of medals, about how Pakistanis and Indians are really the same folks. Just got divided in 1947. No, I was not going to hold his hand! He doesn’t look as if he agrees with our facts. Behind him is the gate to India

A year ago we were standing on the India/Pakistan border joking with guards on both sides; as well as the other four or five times we have crossed here. Hey dudes, we want to go back later this year - sort yourselves out. STOP IT!
Here we are at the border celebration (now closed) -

We had planned to see you at the end of this year but have canceled our trip to USA - hopefully in the future something will change and we will feel safe going there. We are going to Pakistan and Saudi Arabia - two countries much safer than there

Kerala Kerala, a state on India's tropical Malabar Coast, has nearly 600km of Arabian Sea shoreline. It's known for its palm-lined beaches and backwaters, a network of canals. Inland are the Western Ghats, mountains whose slopes support tea, coffee and spice plantations as well as wildlife.
