This week’s Aussie women’s pro golf action is at Magenta Shores just north of Sydney. And the following week the Women’s Australian Open takes place in Adelaide. I have a volunteer gig there. Will be great.

This was a critical tee shot on 17 for Agathe Laisne. She was 1 shot back at this stage but made birdie here with a great putt breaking hard from the right while the leader (amateur Soomin Oh from Korea) took bogey on 18.

Joaquin Niemann letting rip Australian Open practice round Wednesday. There are a few blind tee shot doglegs at Royal Melbourne and Joaquin looked very comfortable launching it out over massive trees and waste areas into the middle of the unseen fairway.

Just landed in Melbourne for a few days of volunteering at Royal Melbourne for the Australian Open. With Rory in the field, the crowds will be massive. Starts tomorrow.

Seems like only last week that I was standing on the side of the first hole at St Andrews wearing 2 hoodies and still freezing on the Saturday aborted round at the Alfred Dunhill.

39C in Sydney today 39 days away from the start of summer. Very high high winds. 50 fires burning across NSW today. Would be very difficult being in a fire crew today wearing the protective gear in these temperatures.

Round 3 Alfred Dunhill (which has become the final round) gets underway at St Andrews in the beautiful morning sunshine. A lot warmer than yesterday.

Hopefully the wind chill at St Andrews on Sunday ain’t as bad as it was today. Literally I was wearing a t-shirt, thermal singlet, golf shirt, TWO hoodies and a spray jacket. And it wasn’t enough. I need a prize for the biggest sook ever.
