A chart of how much voter think Democrats prioritize a group of issues. It is wildly untethered to how Democrats have actually governed. "Protecting the rights of undocumented immigrants" is at the top of the list.

It's like - how do they see things like this chart from their report and think that it represents anything other than the GOP's institutional capture of the information environment?

The party seems to fundamentally misunderstand how beliefs and opinions are formed. They do not even think to include how their messaging (or lack thereof) on certain issues leads to changes in opinion.

This is isn't said enough - the entire Republican party is Dump. They've made it a one person party, which is easier to manage, fundraise for, market, etc. It's insane, but it simplified things. To counter this, Dems/Indies could unify under a shared Democracy Party banner and run it all together.

Also, the Republican Party enacts its most unpopular policies and somehow retains a more favorable rating than the Democratic Party. Count the number of these policies that are now in full effect.

The first amendment recognised that democracy depends on the free spread of information. USA confused free spread with free speech. Has allowed the media to be captured.

I always suggest reading the GOP platform under Eisenhower to get a feel for which party has moved right,left or center.

Conservative on economics, liberal on social.

How about just trying to tell the truth to as many ppl as possible. Dems must reach out to everyone and try to address the issues that affect us ALL. The truth is more and more difficult to disseminate, especially with media all being propaganda now.

you will note that the latest report, like all the reports, spend no time dealing with with the media environment or attention economy. (it also weirdly treats political choices as untethered from events)

Just going by snippets from the report, it seems to me that if you follow these recommendations, you're fighting the last war, not the next one. So much ground seems to have shifted already in the past few months.

This is the most serious problem ever faced. The message is not getting out to voters at all. There is no message ever except when there are just a few months until election. Dems must campaign 24/7/365 and try to reach EVERY US citizen, not just those they chose to accept into the party. It’s vital
