Hm! Guess this is as good an excuse as any, haha. I'll poke around to see if it's viable ^^

For me, the couple of people I poke to get feedback, or I'm really lost, or just complain about the process has been great for sticking with it to the point I'm half considering starting a dedicated game dev support group. I just don't know if I even know enough people who'd be interested

Oouh that's cool, but yes, also super tough. I'm in the middle of it myself and it's like bashing your head against a wall haha. The good news is you don't actually have to do it by yourself, you may have friends/peers who are into it that'd love to learn along side your or give pointers as you grow

You are not bound to do art if you don't want to, but if you have nothing else to go after, then trying to leave it behind will likely be a lot harder. You have options even if you feel like there are a bunch of "I should"s getting in the way ^^

I work with this a fair amount; this isn't something any of us out here can just give you a real answer for, but it's helpful to reflect on the reasons why you feel that way, if you did quit, what you'd like to do instead, etc.
