We've always started with Unit2 for ExCert cohorts, and had 3 teachers getting it done before Christmas. Then teach exam content until the May. We only have 4 hrs a week. It's always worked ok but we've had to be really hot on deadlines and a good intro on malpractice! What size quals do you offer?

We've switched from ExCert to the AAQ with OCR and I'm starting to have a mild panic as I'm leading it. The assignments look horrendous, the exam structure is awful. I have a feeling we'll be switching back to Pearson next year. We're with them with Diploma still. Which board are you with?

Good for looking for jobs and promoting yourself if you want one. I've not used it since leaving industry.

Does anyone know, in Carousel Learning, can you create sets of quizzes that all your colleagues can then assign to their classes, or can you only do this at question bank level?

I've just realised I'm no longer an ECT in just three short weeks... have to join the real world of mentoring and targets, have taken on a TLR which is 17000 times more work than I imagined, and for some mad reason I've just agreed to be a mentor for a year 1 ECT. Help 😖.

Evening all. In my school, we only got enough practical equipment for groups of 4, which can be a challenge for behaviour, engagement, hands on practise etc. Does anyone have any practical advice/experience on how to best navigate this? #SciTeachUK #edusky

I get to spend a whole double lesson tomorrow finishing our bird feeders with my Animal Care kids. I got permission today to hang them around the school and I can't wait to see their excited little faces when I tell them 🐦🥰

Annotate your copy with added explanations etc.
Mine were friendly and helpful and it was just a lovely experience.

In mine, they were interested in all the months and months of trial and error and I think it just showed I had actually done all the work myself! Also remember they are experts and it's ok to say 'not sure, but I'd love to carry on my research to answer xyz'. Take in a list of important references

I've had to do this with one of my yr11 classes yesterday. Were chucking slime balls around the room at each other. I've passed it off to HoY and am emailing all parents. 13/25 were 10 min late to lesson and only 3 tried the homework. I despair.

I don't have ADHD but this is also my brain 😖

No time to do medium term planning, lesson plans, seating charts, read echps or class profiles. I still know nothing about the kids I'm teaching this year. We all feel like we've started the year massively behind. It's madness.

Exactly. As a professional adult I'm capable of reading safeguarding updates and doing a quiz. I don't need to sit through 1.5 hrs on it every time. I don't need an hour on how to deliver pshe or going through the behaviour policy. We had zero time in 2 whole days to ourselves, so we are all behind.
