But no, not if the enemy is educated citizens in your own country who value democracy and understand that complex problems don't have simple solutions.

It's wicked! There's a big call-out from someone with an exact time signal and then everyone takes off their eclipse glasses. A few seconds or a couple minutes later, another call goes out to put the filters / eclipse glasses back on as the opposite side of the sun emerges from behind the moon.

<bursts into flame>

As I think maybe you already know, you can look at an eclipse during totality, when the sun's surface is entirely covered by the moon and only the outer atmosphere is shining. :) The whole difference between a partial eclipse and a total eclipse is this free eyeball time!

It's not great to see a mass revocation of driver's licenses in a region where driving is practically the only way to travel. It's especially not great to see that the mass invalidation was centred on sexual identity. State governments, wow, turns out this stuff matters.

I disagree but you did say it very well and I think you see where it would lead. The problem is that this is a land / utilities problem and so the market will never be allowed to actually optimize it, because that would disadvantage all the wrong people. JMO.
