Hell you can even manually place them and plan for where they'll go from the start if you're that level of attentive. @mattmcmuscles.bsky.social does this, complete with curtains down and curtains up on each side of the ad.

I'll give a pass to older videos because I do get that it may not be as well known that older videos (even previously unmonetized ones) get loaded up with ads when YouTube tinkers with certain things. But brand new shit? Fuck you for decided it's ok to subject your audience to that.
