If he were targeting NG troops, there are plenty in CA and cities closer than DC.

The Afgan that assualted the 2 NG troops in DC lived in Wash. State; he worked with US forces in Afganistan and was vetted there as well as getting asylum here.
Why would he travel across country, obtain a weapon, and shoot 2 guards? It doesn't make sense.

It’s true! The National Guard shooter was granted asylum by the Trump administration in April 2025.
