We have submitted an urgent business request to discuss Labour’s cuts to school transport at the Executive Committee meeting this morning.

We demand that Councillors have a chance to scrutinise the final details of the cuts before they are introduced - this may be the last opportunity.

Your SNP Councillors took part in today’s Education Committee holding the Labour administration to account.

🚌 We expressed our disappointment that a report on Labour’s school bus cuts with full costing was not brought to this meeting as requested by the SNP.

As Labour know, or maybe they dont, Hamilton was part of the Rutherglen & Hamilton West constituency that Katy previously stood for. Katy is an experienced, capable councillor and was Chair of Education at South Lanarkshire Council from 2017-2022. No parachute required #VoteSNP

A Labour Councillor has blasted his own administration in South Lanarkshire.

In a quote to local press Cllr Ralph Barker said “There is a serious issue with our administration using legislation and risk assessments meant to help people in a perverse way to disadvantage people”
