This week is the Mid-Autumn Festival in Hong Kong and it marks 40 years since I met my wife in Orlando.

I didn't know 40 years ago how much my life would improve because of her, but finding the love of my life changed everything. I am truly a lucky man.

Red Sox take game 1 of their series with the Yankees!

Watching from Hong Kong. I got up early to watch the game and it did not disappoint.

We took the ferry from Central to Cheung Chau yesterday for a fun outing.

It was a beautiful day. We ate lunch in a little Thai restaurant, ate fresh egg waffles and walked around the town.

Just have to watch out for the people on bicycles.

My wife had a great suggestion. They should change the rules for veto power in the UN so that it requires a majority of the 5 countries with veto power instead of unilateral veto from an individual country.

No country should be able to force their agenda over the will of most other UN members.

I’m in the process of writing my first book. Always open to advice.

The Red Sox are going to the playoffs! So fun to see them get there with a walk off triple in the bottom of the ninth at home.

I look forward to seeing them go all the way.

Is it possible that China, Russia, UK and France will get together and vote to revoke the US veto power in the UN? Trump was such an embarrassment and the US is working against almost the whole world on important matters. Trump needs to be put in his place.

Typhoon update: Ragasa is passing just south of Hong Kong and I am okay so far. The sound of the wind howling around us is disconcerting but I still feel safe.

No leaks and no signs of major flooding that I can see from my windows. I am afraid many others in the region will not be so lucky.

Typhoon update. Super typhoon Ragasa should make landfall near us tomorrow as the equivalent of a category 4 hurricane. The weather will begin to deteriorate this evening and be rough well into Thursday.

We will be hunkered down for a couple of days but expect to be safe in the storm.

I was worried I was the only one being targeted. I see many of these mysterious Asian women following me. I am sure they are bots or scammers.

Hong Kong bracing for a super typhoon. This storm will be the equivalent of a category 4 hurricane. Forecast track has it making landfall just west of Hong Kong on Wednesday.

Please keep us in your prayers.

We don't "protect children" by banning everything from them that adults deem "harmful".

We protect them by educating, informing, working with them... Treating them with respect... Supporting them.

"Bans" don't work. Support & education does.

In case there was any doubt, I am a Boston Red Sox Fan. I grew up in Massachusetts and have been a fan for life.

A free and democratic society cannot silence comedians because the President doesn’t like what they say.

This is an attack on free speech and cannot be allowed to stand.

All elected officials need to speak up and push back on this undemocratic act.

I realized that although I sometimes call myself an old fart I am not thrilled when someone else calls me an old fart.

Your kid’s best friend is an AI Chatbot. Deal with it! The number one use-case for AI chatbots is companionship. If your child is over the age of 10 you should assume he/she has at least one AI chatbot they consider to be a friend.

If you have child over 10 years old, you should assume they have at least one AI friend. I wrote an article with a bunch of resources linked for parents so they can have conversations with their kids about AI companionship.

Another teen has committed suicide after being encouraged to do so by AI. This new law suit is filed against OpenAI.

16-year-old Adam Raine died by suicide in April and ChatGPT helped with the planning and writing of his suicide note.

This is the second notable case where AI encouraged suicide.

I love this. I hope they do it.
