Nudibranch du jour for #nudivember. This one,doto greenamyeri, is the weirdest yet. The giant balloon things are their cert and used for breathing and maybe digestion? Weird! And they can be cast off and regenerated. Weirder!

wtf!! That's messed up!

It's a ridiculous design flaw you can't move them even a couple feet. They should be held accountable for blocked sidewalks everywhere.

I hate hate hate those electric rental bikes and scooters. People always leave them in the middle of the sidewalk and you can't wheel them even a little to move them out of the way and with my chronic back condition I can't lift them, so most of the time I just push them over to clear the sidewalk.

Today's #Nudivember is a swimming Melibe. I haven't seen this species swim, but I have seen our local ones and they're extremely silly swimmers. They swim exactly how you'd expect a slug would swim, flailing about in a way that could never be described as graceful.

Melibe pilosa

ohhh this is timely!! I've been scouring art museum collections for material for my daily 5min drawings and I noticed the flies and wondered what they were about. I like the idea they were painted to look like they're actually real to show their mastery of skill.

Yeah I def like the idea of the medieval manuscript next, not least because I'm actually using one right now for my daily 5 minute drawings
